Chlobel Catering's Story

Chlobel Catering by Chef Richard Stearn

Chlobel Catering was founded in Co. Kildare by chef Richard Stearn. Richard has 20+ years experience working in top restaurants around Ireland & the UK. The name 'Chlobel' is an amalgamation of Richard's two daughters' names, Chloe and Isobel. Chlobel Catering is known for its honest and refined cookery, offering restaurant-standard services. Richard creates be-spoke, high-end dishes & food experiences tailored to each clients specific requests.

Richard's passion for cooking started at an early age in his grandmother's kitchen. From there, he went on to work in restaurants including The Green Oak & The Chequers in the UK, and Dax Restaurant in Ireland. More recently, he held the position of Executive Chef at Suesey Streeet & No. 25 Fiztwilliam, & Farringtons Mill in Ireland. Richard also completed stages in restaurants including Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck in Bray, Alan Roux's The Waterside in Bray, and Ross Lewis' Chapter One in Dublin. After years honing his skills and learning from the best in the industry, he decided to start his own private chef business, with the aim of bringing restaurant-quality cuisine to people's homes & businesses.

Richard lives in Co. Kildare with his wife Aisling & their two daughters Isobel & Chloe.
